Stockyards is an adaptive re-use of historic buildings dating back to the early 1900s.

The property was redeveloped into 143,500 square feet of creative office and entertainment space in 2017.  The property is located in the heart of West Midtown, which has become one of the Southeast’s top dining and retail destinations over the past 10 years with the redevelopment of the historic industrial buildings. Stockyards is one of the last remaining historic properties to be redeveloped and will add office, restaurant, and entertainment to the neighborhood.

The Miller Union Stockyards was founded in 1881 by Capt. John Miller as an auction house for horses and mules on property located just north of Stockyards where the present day Marta facility is located.  Over the next fifty years, the area developed with businesses related to the livestock trade from the Trolley Barn at the corner of Joseph Lowery and West Marietta Street, to White Provision, Star Provisions located at 14th Street and Howell Mill Road.  While the original Miller Union Stockyards were destroyed by fire in the 1940’s, many of the historic structures developed during this time have been redeveloped.
